
XO Martha Do-er
1 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped nuts (almonts, pecans, peanuts, whatever)
Set oven to 350. Cream 1 cup butter or oleo (seriously does anyone call shortening that anymore?) with the brown sugar add the vanilla and the egg, beat well. Add the flour and salt. Spread onto a lightly greased 10 X 15 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until light brown. Remove from oven and immediately spread the chocolate chips over the crust. Once they've started to melt spread evenly with a knife and sprinkle the nuts on top while the chocolate is still soft. When cool, cut into 32 bars or more!
